Front Porch, Office Balcony and a Hoist: August 7, 2019

Work moved to the porch off the front door and the balcony above.

 

 

The rafters had to be put in place for the front porch,

 

 

And then above it, more rafters for the porch off Tom's office.

 

 

 

And as attention turns to the outside of the structure,

Stein brought in a hoist.

 

 

 

Forrest used the hoist to get in position,

 

 

 

 

for more welding.

 

 

Once the steel is in place, wood slats are attached on which to mount the windows.

Leif wields a tool that uses bullets to slam nails through the wood into the steel.

 

Once the wood slats are installed,

the window contractor came to measure for final sizing of the windows in the great room.
