Pouring the Underfloor: October 18, 2019
On a snowy morning,
a load of "mud" arrived for the second story radiant heating underfloor.
The "mud" is a special concrete mix which is self-leveling
but sets within minutes of being poured.
As a result, it has to be quickly spread out to cover the tubing for the radiant heat.
In the front hallway,
Tanner sprays the pump hose while Derrick spreads the mud to each corner.
And here in Bathroom A.
Stein and his brother Jarle are the finishers,
working here in the office.
Once all the "mud" is smoothed out, we wait the weekend for it to harden.
