Finishing the Culvert: November 9, 2019

Bud brought back his backhoe on a clear Saturday morning

 to finish off the culvert by installing the flanges.

 

 

There have been many loads of gravel dumped on the culvert,

and first Bud has to find the ends of the pipe.

 

 

He works carefully, almost rock by rock.

 

 

 

 When finally the ends are exposed,

Bud uses a shovel to clear them out.

 

 

Before installing the flange.

 

 

Then, ever so delicately, Bud backfills around it.
