Prepping for the Stone: November 18, 2019

Preparations for the stonework have begun.

 

 

 

First, two layers of felt are stapled to the foam.

 

 

Then, wire mesh is stapled to the felt.

 

 

The mortar will bind to the wire to keep the stone snug to the house.

 

 

Stein and Tanner install blocks where the stone will be placed around

outdoor electrical outlets.

 

Finally, Bud brought his little digger back to clear away the dirt
from the foundation to give Alberto plenty of room
to mount the stone on the side of the house.
